The Dashboard shows no data
Symptom
In Infraestructura > Panel (Infrastructure > Dashboard), a banner appears with one of these messages:
- "Panel inicializándose, reintentando… El agregador aún no ha publicado un snapshot." (Dashboard initializing, retrying… The aggregator has not published a snapshot yet.)
- "Snapshot antiguo: N s sin actualización del agregador" (Stale snapshot: N s without an update from the aggregator)
- "Una o más fuentes de telemetría están degradadas: …" (One or more telemetry sources are degraded: …)
- "No se detectaron GPUs." (No GPUs were detected.)
- On a specific GPU: sin telemetría (no telemetry).
Cause
The Dashboard does not read the GPUs directly: it shows the last snapshot that the platform's telemetry aggregator published. If the aggregator just started, there is no snapshot; if it stopped publishing, the snapshot gets old; if one of its sources (for example, the one for the GPU cards) fails, the numbers are incomplete. "No se detectaron GPUs" means that no GPU node is registered for the platform, or that the node lost its cards (one real case was a firmware change after a reboot; see Requirements).
How to confirm it
- Click Actualizar (Refresh) and wait a minute. "Inicializándose" (Initializing) after a restart resolves on its own.
- If "Snapshot antiguo" lasts more than a few minutes or "sin telemetría" appears on all the GPUs of a node, the problem is with the node or the aggregator, not with the Dashboard.
- Labs and models keep working even when the Dashboard shows no data: check by opening a notebook with a GPU.
Solution
- Wait and use Actualizar.
- If it persists for more than 15 minutes, report it to the operator with the time and the exact text of the banner; checking the node and the aggregator is their job (Observability).
- In the meantime, to decide whether a lab fits, use the last Disponible (Available) reading with some margin.
